Events during world pandemic
Events are one of the most discussed topics during the coronavirus crisis. How did it go for event spaces and what can be expected now? We interviewed Katarína from Spojujeme for you, who shared with us her experience from the course of the pandemic in terms of event spaces, which Spojujeme is in charge of. The three of them are - Ethosvět, Endorfin and Spojka.
We interviewed Katarína from Spojujeme, how the whole situation went for them and what it brought them:
How did you experience the coronavirus crisis for Spojujeme?
Like many other companies, we were closed down and tried to focus more on internal processes, such as the restructuring of the company.
Spojka restaurant was more focused on ready meals that customers could pick up, but through our corporate clientele, the sales were not what we would like.
How did you handle canceled events?
We tried to give the lowest possible cancellation fees, we always try to work on a friendly agreement and meet the needs of clients. At the same time, we also give the option of postponing the event free of charge, for example, to the autumn term.
As a precaution, we have also started to include a force majeure clause in the contract, to be sure.
Are there any changes in your premises / staff now, or anything else?
We kept the premises the same, but we worked on small changes. For example, with Endorfin we opened the garden and with Spojka we changed the menu. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to a few people from the staff and the work distributed to the rest of us.
Do you have any prepared events or packages related to the situation for current / future clients?
We are happy to provide clients with a free service such as a welcome drink or coffee.
Which of the hygienic measures do you find easy or difficult?
So far, all the regulations have been feasible for us in some way, I would not divide it into lighter or heavier.
Do you have any new projects that you are working on?
We try to stabilize the company from a financial point of view and develop current services.
At the same time, in addition to coronavirus, we also managed to work out an elaboration of the accompanying program for events - the show must go on.
What would you say to people who have read this far?
Let's be sensible and considerate to ourselves and to the people around us, that's the only way we can do everything together.
Thank you for a pleasant conversation and we wish you a successful restart from Dejsiprostor!
